Voices of the Holocaust have an incredibly talented production team, leading actors and trustees!

Production Team

Since originally training at East 15, our Movement Director Ana has directed and performed widely in theatre and film for over 20 years. She runs a talent agency and works with young people teaching Speech and Drama for LAMDA exams. Ana has completed residencies including with Gecko who have always strongly influenced her movement work with Voices. She also teaches Pilates and is a fitness instructor. With Voices of the Holocaust Ana integrates her skills in dance, movement and theatre as our Movement Director, working closely with the actors, director and choreographer to realise the physical life of the play. Ana Diego Pam is the resident Voice and Accent Coach for Voices as well as coaching professional actors, theatre companies and working in various educational settings both nationally and internationally. Pamela is also an actress and director who has worked on numerous theatre and film productions as well as a number of pieces based on the female characters in Shakespeare’s plays. She holds an MA in Professional Voice Practice, is a member of the British Voice Association and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. Pamela Kay Helen was a Choreographer and dancer for over 20 years after training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance. In addition to performing internationally with Motionhouse and Panta Rei Danseteater, Helen choreographed extensively across the UK for numerous large scale sited works alongside creating touring works. Helen was the assistant choreographer for the London 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony and toured across the UK and Germany with her own company Parlor Dance and from 2014 was the Artistic Director of MÓTUS. In 2023 Helen lost her hard fought battle to cancer and is sorely missed (1975-2023). Helen Parlor Mitch has worked in technical theatre, stage and production management for over 30 years. She trained at Rose Bruford in technical theatre, specialising in lighting / lighting design. Since 2014 she has worked mainly in technical, stage and production management roles for touring theatre and music festivals although her credits include lighting design for the National Youth Music Theatre. In addition to working for Voices as our Lighting Designer and Technical Manager, Mitch is also resident lighting designer for Regents Opera. Mitch Broomhead Cate Hollis, founder, was previously a Head of Drama and advisor for over 15 years before founding Voices of the Holocaust. She has numerous post graduate qualifications, with a deep grounding in theatre and drama education as well as Holocaust, genocide and human rights history. She brings to each project a pedagogical foundation in subject areas from history, psychology to drama. Cate heads up our education programs and development work as well as being the writer and director of ‘Kindness’. Cate Hollis

Judith is our specialist Music Advisor. Judith’s background and specialism in Jewish music and the historic cultural and religious traditions have helped us to create the rich musical landscape of Kindness: A Legacy of the Holocaust. Judith is passionate about bringing people together through music and song, founding Companion Voices in 2014 to use “the power of singing to heal and bring solace to people of all kinds, in all moments of life”. Judith is also a playwright; her semi-autobiographical play Mum Thumb has been performed at a number of different venues and festivals and explores the impact of dementia and death on relationships. Judith Silver Jemma trained at East 15 Acting School, gaining a distinction on the MA Acting course. Since then, she has directed for various youth theatre companies as well as working with actors towards LAMDA exams. Jemma co runs an acting agency which also hosts masterclasses and workshops to enable performers to further their careers. Spotting potential and nurturing talent is something that she is very passionate about. Jemma was one of the founder members of Voices having originally joined the team as an actor before moving swiftly on to becoming an Associate Director with us. Jemme Goodridge Ian has been working for Voices since we determinedly rebuilt once covid allowed. He works primarily on Sound and Music with our technician but is always ready to lend a hand in any aspect of production if we need help! When he isn't working with Voices, Ian is busy with arts and crafts activities, is a member of Haddon's Beats who record music and videos and he DJs at discos for birthdays and other events. Ian Forrest Rachel is always active and busy. She works in a local coffee shop and bakery, as well as being in charge of our Props and Costumes for Voices. She is a member of the Macintyre community theatre group as well as Dance Syndrome performing at a variety of different events around the country. Rachel Silver Martin is a member of a Macintyre community in Milton Keynes and is a lead actor in the community's drama group. He is actively involved in fundraising activities - doing sponsored bike rides and sleepouts for different charities. In his spare time Martin loves golf, music and does DJing at parties. He also runs the community bar and has recently begun playing rugby for fun! Martin has been with Voices since last year as our Stage Manager, making / repairing our scenery and keeping the actors in line – which he is also excellent at! Martin Baker

Actors

Inbal is a graduate of East15 Acting school and Mountview. She has a background in classical theatre, and has trained in Laban, Meisner, clowning and physical theatre. Her recent credits include her debut play 'BAR' (The Hope Theatre) which she co-authored, 'Indecent' (JW3), 'There Are No Beginnings' (Actors East), 'The Sin Eater' (The Cockpit Theatre) and she has also performed at the West Yorkshire and Southwark Playhouses. As well as performing, Inbal was worked as a production assistant for Southwark Playhouse and as an outreach worker for Clean Break Theatre company. She now takes on the challenge of playing Susan in 'Kindness: A Legacy of the Holocaust'. Inbal Biron Christian Peterson Graduating from The MGA Academy of Performing Arts in Edinburgh in 2020 with a first in acting, Olivia has gone on to perform in a wide range of stage and film work. Originally Austrian, Olivia is a multilingual actor with a background in classical theatre. They are further skilled and trained in physical theatre, Meisner technique and are an experienced voice over artist. Whilst Olivia has appeared in feature films, their passion lies in stage acting most recently as the lead in Cherry Tree Productions’ Wine Escape – an immersive theatre experience. Olivia has undertaken a number of touring theatre projects, including theatre in education and is passionate about the importance of Voices’ mission. Olivia Night Harry was born and raised in Wiltshire. He has acted since the age of 13, initially in local and youth theatre projects before going on to train in acting, singing and dance at the Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts. Harry is experienced in a wide variety in stage and film work, including Autopsy for channel 5, Queen Lear (Shakespeare) adapted by The Scullions Company, Holes by Tom Basden and, most recently a year-long national tour of Robin Hood by Emma Mitchell. On joining the Kindness team, Harry says "it's exciting to be working on such an incredibly important piece of theatre with such a fantastic cast and team." Harry Freeman

Trustees

Becca is a learning specialist, with experience of setting up and delivering large-scale education programmes and events. She is a senior manager in the Education and Engagement Team at the UK Parliament - developing unique and engaging opportunities for young people to develop their understanding of democracy. Becca believes in the immense power of learning outside the classroom - and the power of theatre to bring about radical change in attitudes. As a member of the youth apprentice cast in 2012, Becca is thrilled to have rejoined Voices as a Trustee. In her spare time, she enjoys choral singing, dance and reading.  Rebecca Kilby-Smith Leona is an experienced events project manager with a MSc in Project Management and over 10 years' experience within the charity and corporate sectors. She has volunteered with multiple organisations to include serving Christmas lunch to the homeless, mentoring young people, teaching English to Chinese and Cambodian locals and empowering women into leadership roles. Leona joined Voices of the Holocaust in its foundation years and returned as a Trustee when we became a charity in 2022. She is passionate about our values and the messages that Voices has for society as a whole. Leona Bird Pamela is the resident voice and accent coach for Voices as well as coaching professional actors, theatre companies and working in various educational settings both nationally and internationally. Pamela is also an actress and director who has worked on numerous theatre and film productions as well as several pieces based on the female characters in Shakespeare’s plays. She holds an MA in Professional Voice Practice, is a member of the British Voice Association and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. Having previously run an inclusive theatre company, Pam believes in Voices' values that theatre and education should be accessible to all. Pamela Kay Martin is currently co-chair of Milton Keynes and District Reform Synagogue. He retired in 2018 and now volunteers as Senior Admin of the Facebook Group Jewish Britain which has 11,000 members and runs the Jewish singles group, Singles Out for the over 60’s. He was awarded an MBE for Services to the Child Support Agency in 2008. Martin joined Voices of the Holocaust as a trustee in May 2023 and is looking forward to helping take the charity to the next level. In his spare time Martin enjoys travelling and reading non-fiction. Martin joined Voices of the Holocaust as a trustee in May 2023 and is looking forward to helping take the charity to the next level as well as continuing our work in partnership with MKDRS to continue the voice of Jewish culture and heritage is embedded in all Voices' work.
